"Beautiful music in beautiful packaging". This is the idea behind NSRD004, a special white vinyl 7" record with two tracks from two of today’s most interesting (in our opinion) musicians working entirely within their own self-created universe of sounds. See below for more information about these two talented individuals.

The covers of the 7" are unique for each order in that the name and address of the person purchasing the item will be hand-written on the cover and it will be sent to them individually. You cannot buy this item in the shops. The idea behind this is to make sure each and every one of the 300 copies goes to someone who loves beautiful music in beautiful packaging as much as we do.

As an extension of this idea, we would like to extend the invitation to all those who purchase this one-off 7" to send us a photo of the package when it arrives (to see how well the lovely postal service handles the packages) and of yourself, so we can see how happy you are with your new, personalized package. Once we have enough photos, we’ll post them on the site and even go as far as arrange an exhibition if we can. We need you to help us achieve this, so don’t delay, send yours in right away. Thanks.

Ljudbilden & Piloten: The music of Ljudbilden & Piloten is one of introspection and peacefulness. His relentless search for new sounds has brought him to use a range of objects (some unusual, some regular instruments) in the creation of his works. On the track on this special 7" you’ll hear Elmo (his dog), glass, a zither, some rhythms, a handclap or two, an egg slicer, a guitar, a bass and a trumpet. He was joined for this special recording by Douglas Holquist on vibraphonette.
Lately Kristofer has been composing for theatre, dance-theatre and for short film productions. This summer he also worked as a musicpedagogue at NEON with Lisa Nordström from Midaircondo. He's been touring with David Balula, Domotic and O.lamm (Active Suspension), Dead Texan (Kranky), as well as dates in Copenhagen and Barcelona.

Kama Aina: Kama Aina is the solo project of Takuji Aoyagi, another true multi-instrumentalist and extensive traveller who, throughout his creative life, has endeavoured to seek out and collect sounds and images from the world over. He lives in Tokyo, Japan where he is one of the main figures in the gleaming Japanese scene of innocent, DIY and heartbreaking folk-pop.
Takuji Aoyagi founded his own label Folkcore in 2002 and in Summer of 2004 he released his latest album "Two Fingers", with 10 artists from Japan, the United States, France, and Argentine, including Tommy Guerrero and Josh from Town & Country. The album was called "Two Fingers" since all the pieces could be played with just two fingers.
Also in 2004 Geographic (a sub record label to Domino, driven by The Pastels) released the compilation "Music Activist" of his best works so far. Takuji Aoyagi is also a member of Little Creatures and Double Famous.
On this track he plays the mandolin, tambora, xylophone, a bell, a Spanish guitar and a piano.

REVIEWS & MEDIA
An interesting split 7" - a record designed to be personalised. The name and the address of each buyer will be written on the cover, and it is also suggested that people send in photos of the finished product, so the label can compile them into a portfolio. As might be expected, the music is quite intimate, consisting of two low-key instrumentals for guitar, mandolin, tamboura, etc. Both of the pieces resolve with gentle pop aktions with decidely progressive elements, making me think, inexplicably, of the main theme from "Betty Blue".
- THE WIRE, DECEMBER 2006

The packaging of the latest release on Sweden´s AA/Nosordo label is not the only good thing about this nice 7?. The limited vinyl disc comes in a personalised brown cardboard box with the sender and recipient address on the front and the release info on the back. Ljudbilden & Piloten is the one man project of Kristofer Ström who is joined by Douglas Holmquist. His side is filled with a densely textured dreamy post-rock track, full of many instruments which are woven together in just the right way to float along. The B-Side features a new track by Takuji Aoyagi aka Kama Aina who had a good collection of songs on the Geographic label and seems to be friends with the Glasgow scene around that label, too. ?Hotaru? is as good as anything he´s done before, but can maybe not reach the texture of the Ljudbilden & Piloten track. Nonetheless, Kama Aina´s playful percussive work and especially the beautiful piano playing in the middle of the track make this yet another successful contribution to the AA/Nosordo catalogue.
